Convert Jamiah Naleemiah as a recognized University-Minister. Rajitha Senarathna
The Islamic Exhibition under the theme Scientific Miracles of Holy Quran and the Contribution of Muslims to the Human Civilization declared open at Jamiah Naleemiah by Ministers A.H.M Fowzi and Rajitha Senarathna Yesterday 12th June 2010 at 9:00 am.
Inaugural ceremony was chaired by the Director Dr.MAM.Shukry who delivered the Key note address after the recital of Holy Quran by As-Sheik Qamaruzzaman.
Minister Dr.Rajtha urged Jamiah Administration to grab the opportunity offered by the government to set up private universities in Sri Lanka, to convert Naleemiah into a recognized Islamic University or an International Islamic University with affiliation to prestigious International Universities abroad offering undergraduates various courses such as Business studies, Banking, finance and so on which would guarantee a better tomorrow for future generations. Mister Rajitha pointed out this idea on his inaugural ceremony address. The proposed idea of Minister Riajitha was endorsed by Hon Minister Fowzi too.
Speaking to muslimguardian the vice president of Rabitha Mr.Inamullah said “A draft proposal is being prepared by Rabitha An-Naleemiyyeeen and a committee has been already formed to submit a well studied proposal as per the requirements of theUniversity Grants Commission and the Ministry of Higher Studies.”
He further mentioned that Rabitha, the alumni association of the institute is confident that the Administration of Jamiah Naleemia will seize this opportunity and for which Rabitha will extend its fullest cooperation and support to accomplish this task.
